Totally wanted to go back to my roots today (not in my apparel, obviously) just in thought. Sometime I wish I grew up in a little po-dunk town miles and miles from anything. I did live in a po-dunk town, but only 20 miles from the biggest city in Canada. I was a cowgirl with horsies, mud, gopher shooting, barn dances, and and campfires with a guitar. And oh how I'll never forget cleaning on Saturday mornings with my family while shakin' it to Shania Twain or Garth. *sigh*. Those were the days. It must have been that darn Jason Aldean song I have been loving lately, Fly Over States.

Sometimes if you are just dying for something you've had your eye on, maybe take a day or two when you have time and browse the web to see if there is a better deal out there. I tend to be pretty impulsive in life, but especially with shopping. But, lucky me, I found this steal of a deal and just LOVE my grey Target wedges! 

Something Sentimental

I guess I was feeling a little sentimental...wearing a watch my husband won in a finance competition (CFA Challenge) that I claimed as my own -heehee, pearl bracelets from a friend for my birthday, silver twist studded bracelet from my mother-in-law 2 Christmas' ago, and a silver bracelet from Cabo when we went on our cruise. But the one that means the most to me is the necklace. My Grandmother's. I never thought I'd have collected all these pretty treasures. :D

I was so lucky today, got to do my sister-in-law's makeup trial run for her bridals! She is getting married June 1st and her bridals are tomorrow. So she came over and we talked about all her fun plans while I tried a "Bella from Twilight" look. She loved it and can't wait to see her rock her bridals! She is sooo beautiful she needs very little makeup to enhance her features. Lucky me to get to do her makeup!

There is this constant battle I have with my sweetheart about getting me prego. Obviously we need to be on the same page, so I will continue to be understanding and patient *even though I cannot wait 'til the day I can pronounce myself pregnant*. Until then, I will continue to buy maxi dresses and cute oversized tops to build up my maternity wardrobe...

A Few Girly Favorites

Didn't realize my first 5k race (since high school x-country) was tHiS sAtUrDaY!! Whoops! But I'll be running it with my sweety so it'll be ok. Loving how summer is peaking around the corner, starting to plan some fun family & friend trips.
